Thought of the week comments for Jan 10th
My husband has a great saying he continually reminds me of. "Is your glass half full or half empty?" I love it when he reminds of these words because too many times I can be focused on what I don't have, as opposed to what God has given me as tremendous blessings. The other day I took my kids for a walk down to the park. As we were walking, my two older kids were riding their bicycles in front of me and my little one was behind me in the wagon singing her favorite Barnie tune, "I love you, You love me, we're a happy family ...." It was such a precious moment! As I watched my son's little head bobbing in his big bicycle helmet, my daughter trying to ride her new beach cruiser bike, and listening to the sweet little voice of my two year old, I paused and said, "Thank you God for giving me these precious, healthy, kids who so many times I take for granted." You see it's easy to forget our lives are filled with many half full glasses. We just have to look for it. In each moment we have a choice to make. Are we going to look at our situation as half empty or half full?Look at the blessings surrounding you everyday and take your hick-ups as opportunities. This is looking at life as the glass half full instead of half empty. What can you do today to look at your glass as half full instead of half empty? Please share your thoughts I would love to hear.
